Ingredients:
- 1 beet (including the greens, just make sure to wash well)
- 2 large carrots
- 1 apple
- 1 lime
- 1″ fresh ginger
First thing to note – this recipe does requires a juicer. My favorite juicer is Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer. I know it’s a bit pricey, but trust me – it’s worth it! I have tried a few juicers over the years, and this one seems to squeeze the most juice out of those fruits and veggies.
Make sure to wash all the fruits and vegetables before placing in the juicer. The juicer is actually strong enough to juice the rind of the lime, but I recommend peeling the lime first – the rind will give the juice a bitter taste which can leave an unpleasant aftertaste.
That’s it! Just turn on the juicer and throw in all the fresh ingredients! Pour it into a wine glass and top it off with a stalk of celery for a little extra pizzazz.
Bottoms up!
