On a cool morning, there’s nothing quite like a cup of soothing herbal tea. As the leaves change, the days cool off and we bundle up in our cozy blankets, sip on some warm tea to lift your spirits in the morning or help you fall asleep at night.
The argument of the dangers and benefits of coffee has been going back and forth for ages. I enjoy a good cup of coffee (click here to learn about vegan coffee creamers), but just like most foods and drinks, there is such thing as “too much” coffee. So, lately I have been experimenting with herbal teas, and have fallen in love with these warm, relaxing drinks. Take a look at some of the many health benefits herbal teas have to offer our bodies. Which tea is right for you?
What is herbal tea?
Unlike green, white and black tea (all made from one specific plant), herbal tea is simply an infusion of leaves, seeds, roots or bark, extracted in hot water. Talk about a veggie girl’s dream drink! Through sipping a well-steeped herbal tea, we can gain all the plant’s benefits in an easily digestible form.

Reach for this flowery tea the next time you have a cold or fever, or use it as a gargle for inflammation of the mouth. Be sure to steep it well to get all the medicinal benefits.
